Terms of Service

By accessing or using Design Audit (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Design Audit is operated by Recursive (“we”, “us”, “our”). These terms apply to all users of the Service.

Design Audit is a web-based service that reviews publicly accessible web pages and produces automated audit reports and related generated outputs.

App features and plugins may use artificial intelligence and/or operate on a credit-based system where applicable.

The available features and outputs may change over time.

Design Audit uses credits for certain audit operations. Credit requirements are shown before an operation is run.

Credits are consumed only upon successful output generation. Failed conversions due to technical issues do not consume credits.

Monthly and annual plans renew automatically at the end of their respective billing cycles unless cancelled. Subscription credits reset at the start of each applicable credit cycle and do not roll over.

You can cancel a subscription from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly or annual billing cycle, and you will keep access to your plan until then.

Credits already used are non-refundable except where required by law or where our Refund Policy says otherwise.

We may change the credit cost of future audit operations. Changes do not affect credits already purchased or an operation that has already started. Where a change materially affects a recurring plan, we will give notice before it takes effect.

You must use Design Audit fairly and responsibly. You may not use automated, excessive, or abusive requests that interfere with the Service, bypass plan or credit limits, create disproportionate demand on our systems, or impair other users’ access.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or restrict activity that we reasonably believe breaches this Fair Use section or threatens the security, reliability, or availability of the Service.

You may use Design Audit to audit publicly accessible web pages. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to audit pages you do not have permission to access
• Attempt to overload or abuse the Service through excessive or automated requests
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the Service
• Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Service in an automated way

When you submit a URL for analysis, you represent that you have the right to submit that URL and that auditing it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

We do not claim ownership of any URLs or content you submit. We process and retain audit data as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service, including its design, functionality, and underlying methodology, is owned by Recursive and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Generated audit reports and other outputs for your pages are yours to use.

Generated outputs come with full commercial usage rights, and no attribution is required. You may use generated outputs in commercial projects, client work, and resale.

You may not resell or redistribute the Service or its underlying methodology.

The Service is provided “as is” during beta. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Audit findings are intended as guidance and should not be relied upon as professional consulting advice.

The Service is provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind. Output quality may vary based on the quality and complexity of the input, and we do not guarantee specific quality outcomes for generated content.

Service availability may be subject to maintenance and technical limitations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recursive is not liable for any data loss resulting from use of the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recursive shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the preceding twelve months. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, or our legal rights, including where we believe you have violated these terms or used the Service unlawfully or abusively.

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users. Continued use of the Service after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
